Our Mission

ALI Duke was founded as Duke's dedicated professional and leadership organization for AAPI students, which makes up nearly 30% of Duke’s undergraduate population. Our mission is to empower the Asian youth of the American South, where AAPI identity carries different social and political implications than on the coasts. We also share the stories of leaders within industries that have major AAPI underrepresentation, such as sports, media, and entertainment.
